I recently added to the widgets on the right of our blog a connection to the Vatican website which gives you a good look at what’s happening in the Catholic Church all over the world. More and more we need to see ourselves as members of a global church. The Vatican site reaches everywhere. We are Catholic, which means universal.
The site gives us access to the latest news from Pope Leo. Yesterday, for example, we could be standing in St. Peter’s square listening to his words to pilgrims from all over. A wonderful reflection on praying the liturgy and finding the Lord’s presence in the words and signs we find there.
One of the blessing of the internet is a site like this. It offers so much information on different aspects of our faith. What are the readings for the day? Where do our feasts come from? The different groups who come for meetings there. What’s happening in Africa, Asia, South America? What’s the pope doing and saying?
Go over to the site and take a look. It can help us grow in faith.
