   All is Calm, All is Bright

   Snow fell through the night
   and left a gentle white blanket
   on the late autumn earth.

   Sunshine sharpens the colors
   of mountainous white clouds
   and clear blue sky.

   The world does not know peace
   but right here, right now,
   on this beautiful Sunday morning
   all is calm, all is bright.
