    God Is With You

    God is with you.
    He was with you in your yesterdays.
    If you look back over your shoulder with sadness,
    invite him back into your unhappy yesterdays
    and ask him to remember with you,
    to take away the pain that holds you there,
    and to lead you gently back into today.
    When you look back over your shoulder
    into your happy yesterdays and smile,
    invite him to share your joy.

    God is with you.
    He will be with you in your tomorrows.
    If you look ahead into the dim and distant future
    with fear and trepidation,
    remember that he is waiting to meet you there,
    and you will be given the graces you need,
    when you need them.
    Trust him to be there with you.
    When you look ahead in happy anticipation,
    invite him to share your joy.

    God is with you.
    He is here with you today in this Here and Now.
    Today is the most important time.
    It is the only time you have.
    This day is the day to share with God –
    its smiles and laughter,
    its pain and suffering.
    God doesn’t promise to take your pain away;
    he promises to be there with you through it all.
    You are never alone.
    Treasure this Today – this Here and Now –
    for the beautiful gift it is
    from the One who loves you so.
