Thank you, Fr. Victor. Re: Mark’s Gospel, 14th Sunday. Your advice in your reflection,
“Don’t miss seeing God everywhere.” (My poem is an account of some incidents that
happened at different times but I have had days like that, too π
Blessed Interruptions
I was cleaning
and my son stopped by.
I was doing laundry
and the phone rang.
I was preparing dinner
and my daughter popped in.
My son and I talked and talked.
My friend called long distance
and we talked and talked.
My daughter and I talked and talked.
The vacuum cleaner sat in the hallway.
The laundry sat in the dryer.
Dinner was a little later.
The cleaning will get done
The laundry will get folded
We ate a little later β so what?
Work will always be there,
but those precious moments
with loved ones and friends
cannot be gotten back
once theyβre gone.
Thank you, God, for the wisdom
to know what’s important.
