“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I command? I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them. That one is like a person building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built. But the one who listens and does not act is like a person who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against it, it collapsed at once and was completely destroyed.”

Luke 6:46-49

“The world needs doers and the world needs dreamers. But most of all, the world needs dreamers who do.” GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

In building a house, foundations are needed
The deeper the hole. the taller the structure.
    Poured cement hardens into rock
    Steel girders placed for frames
Every letter of building code is heeded.

In our century plus home here
Its wood frame rests on solid rocks,
    Pushed here by glacier flow,
    Part of the terminal morraine,
Flood, wind, or quake dare come near.

When Jesus teaches this lesson, I just need to go into our basement for a visual. He desires greatly that I rely on God’s Word, reflecting and praying and listening to lessons for fullness of life. May I rest solidly on God’s promises.
